Benedict Timothy Carlton Cumberbatch was born at the Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital in West London. Cumberbatch parents are both actors, Timothy Carlton (Father) and Wanda Ventham (Mother). His half sister Tracy Peacock, was from her mother’s first marriage.
Education
He went to Brambletye a boarding preparatory school in West Sussex and also attended Harrow School, a boarding school for boys in London. After he finished from Harrow School, he took a sabbatical leave and taught English at a Tibetan monastery in Darjeeling, India.
